More Video From Yesterday

Entertain by Sleater-Kinney.

If you're the type of person who prefers Jim Rome over John Madden, I have two words for you: Ethel Merman. As in "After the Lawrence Welk show at the Wiltern, we all headed over to J-Stew's house to crank up the Ethel Merman. Some chicks made fun of us, can't figure it out. Are you with me, clones?"

No, I'm not with you, clone.

Although, in a funny, roundabout, obvious show business way, since I own no Ashlee Simpson records, it could be said that everything I know about Ashlee Simpson comes from hearing her songs played so repeatedly on the Jim Rome Show.

It seems germane to mention that in 1992 I lived on Serrano Avenue, which is one block east of Western Avenue, east on Wilshire. Two blocks north, sort of in the shadow of the Taiwanese government's west coast office building/consulate. Within easy walking distance of Hollywood, Melrose, and even downtown if you don't have a car. It's in the middle of Koreatown.

And while we're actually on the topic of sports, here's a dream:

New York Giants --> Honolulu Giants

Buffalo Bills --> LA Megas

Right. And then San Francisco will move to Buffalo and become the New York 49ers. Oakland will develop a Janus method to absorb the Frisko beat. Nice work, clone.
